This is a late post but as they said, it's better than never :)). Anyways, I got invited by Cubizone PH people to the Battle of Immortals launching. As what I've learned from the speakers during the launching, the game doesn't require a high-end like system which is good for us gamers.

Good to hear that Philippine Ragnarok Online (pRO) just updated to Ragnarok Renewal as well as the other countries. But as I've learned through surfing and more research, I found out that we're entering the phase 2 of the renewal as soon as all countries stabilized their official servers.

Need for Speed World Online

Was invited last thursay or friday (can't remember) to play Need for Speed World Online until Sunday. Honestly, I wasn't able to enjoy the game to the fullest because of my wonky internet connection. But based on my experihttp://draft.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=7638721156361924583&postID=7628814230842936364ence, the game was nice. The graphics were still nice and detailed even in medium video quality settings. Like the other nfs games, there are police cars that will be hunting you down. Unfortunately, when there's a sudden lag then you'll might get busted and charge you a speedboost (in-game currency). Unlike other nfs games, you can't upgrade your car's performance (not sure), though you can still customize the car's visual look.

Prince of Persia, once a video game now a movie. First time I saw Prince of Persia is when my brother played the old version in PC. After I watched the trailer, I became more interested in watching it because the Prince of Persia I know (the side-scrolling game) will now be in big screens.

Super 8

Super 8. I've seen this upcoming movie trailer on the internet. Some said that it's a sequel or prequel to the film Cloverfield (2008). But Abrams (director) replied that it has nothing to do with Cloverfield.

Thankyou PopCap! ^_^

Got a package from PopCap Games telling that I won during the beta-testing phase of PopCap World.
The package contains a Splork of Peggle (new PopCap game) plushie, popcap tatoo, and a Plants vs. Zombies pin. After few days I got two parcel notices, I'm sure that one of those is the item I bought from ebay. I claimed that package at the post office then opened it. I'm surprised that it's from PopCap games, contains two Chuzzles stuff toy.

Review: CTRacer

Had been played this online racing game last year, I actually tried it first but then I got hooked up on the game, made me play it the whole day. It's a good online racing game, before I'm only using on-board (built-in) graphics card and the game just run smoothly and besides, it doesn't consumes lot of HD memory like other online racing games. I met lots of nice people in the game, I even met a GM whos' a fellow countrymen of mine. I also found new friends from the other country who also like cars in real life.

CTRacer Online, developed by Hyundai Digital Entertainment, published by Sega, and launched in India by Games2win, is India's first online community racing game.

Dead Fantasy singing Gee

Dead Fantasy female characters singing and dancing Gee of Girls' Generation (SNSD/So Nyeoh Shi Dae). I'm so surprised that Monty Oum turned these female fighting characters into dancing girls and sing Gee. The video was made well done, each character fits each member of the SNSD. Can't wait to see more from Monty. Thanks for the heads up JM!

Kick Ass is Kick Ass!

The film Kick Ass was based on the comic book written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita Jr. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, produced by Vaughn and actor Brad Pitt, script written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman.

The film tells the story of teenage Dave Lizewski who sets out to become a real life superhero only to get caught up in a bigger fight. He meets Big Daddy, a former cop who, in his quest to bring down an evil drug lord Frank D'Amico, has trained his eleven-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Girl.

Kick Ass is a great, funny film with some unexpected violence. It's not like
other superhero films that everyone would watch (not for kids!), because Kick Ass contains brutal violence, pervasive language, drug use, and some sexual content. I'm glad that I've watched it because I'm not a fan of reading comics. It's great for fanboys (and some fangirls too, Hit Girl FTW!!!) as well as the big fans of brutal-comedy movies like me. 4/5

f(x) is back with You Are My Destiny

f(x) has been missing from the K-Pop scene for the past few weeks and now they are back with a new MV teaser of You are my Destiny.

f(x) has released their first mini album, Chu~♡ last November and one of the songs featured on the album was the ballad, You Are My Destiny, a duet between members Krystal and Luna.

Since then, f(x) took a trip to Africa for the “2009 Kim Joong Man Africa Project” where they participated in numerous photoshoots for the project. A documentary on f(x)’s Africa trip will be featured in an episode of f(x)’s new series, Hello f(x), which will premiere on April 17th.

But now its been revealed that the girls also filmed a music video in Africa for their song You Are My Destiny. In the short clip, we catch a glimpse of the group’s experiences in Africa.

Just saw this latest Toy Story 3 video clip featuring the new toys. It seems that Andy donated his toys. While joining the other toys, they met Ken who toured them at his Sunnyside Day Care. The previous film they gave Mr. Potato a partner, Ms. Potato, I think this time they'll give Barbie a Ken.

SM Cinema's Most Interactive Cinema Experience Ever

Good news movie-goers! SM Cinema will soon bring us movie fans the first and most interactive cinema experience ever in the Philippines. The interactive experience seems to involve something dynamic and playful, insinuating hand waving motions.

Together with the advent of 3D movies, efforts of creating unique encounters like the “interactive cinema experience” while watching in theatres is what makes cinemas still one of the best places for leisure. This project is to be launched late April at the Digital Theater of SM Megamall, in time for the series of blockbuster movies this summer.

RayCity OBT on 8th April

RayCity will have its OBT phase this April 8th 1500HRS(+8GMT). This game looks nice, and I'm really interested to try this one since I'm something a fan of racing games.

Some features of the game, different quests and missions like photo-taking, road-rage, and party missions. The playable game modes are Single Race, Team Race, and Guild. You can also pimp your ride by customizing it.

Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer

I just finished re-watching Resident Evil Extinction when I saw this trailer online. I remembered Blade Trinity while watching this. I think this movie is less survival-horror than the previous RE films. Can't wait for the other trailers as well as the movie on September 10th

Digimon Battle Online

Just to kill my boredomness, I tried this game. Well for me, it's like playing the Digimon World 1 and 2 in playstation but online. For me, I won't say it's an awesome nor poor game but it's a nice game. The only thing I didn't like about this is the limited avatar, no custom characters. I mean you only have to choose 1 among 4 characters with no customization of the avatar except when equipping items. Some of the digimons aren't yet available because it's still in beta phase and there's many more things aren't yet available. First digivolution will occur when the digimon reached leve 21 then 31 to next form and 41 the last (as for now). You can also capture digimons and use them on a 3 on 3 or even 5 on 5 digimon battle or you may join a party with other players and fight on a digimon battle together.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

CURIOUSER and CURIOUSER

Cosplayers met and joined Alodia and Ashley in an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party held in Power Plant Mall. It was also the  launch of Power Plant Mall's 3D cinema.  There were free tea, face painting and cookies and cupcakes. Special prizes were also given to the coolest Alice in Wonderland inspired cosplayers, each of the winners also got a free movie ticket to watch Alice in Wonderland in Infrared 3D.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

Few days have passed since the theater release date here in the Philippines, I've been hearing lots of positive feedback from other people including that it really must-a-watch movie. Well, since I'm a fan of Disney films and of course, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp I'll watch it maybe later or tomorrow in 3D. I say you should watch it too, no need to browse for movie reviews over the internet, the trailer and the huge impact has it all.
 Also, I've heard that its' soundtrack was very nice too.

It was 1:30pm when the class ended, I'm too lazy to commute that's why I decided to wait until 3pm so that I would be able to join my cousin go home. I went to the library, read a newspaper and had a small talk with a classmate. Bored already, I went to computer laboratory to check my email. There's a notification that someone added me as a friend on facebook.com. Being so curious, I looked at her profile and found out that she's studying on the same school but lower batch. She thanked me for confirming her as a friend through the facebook chat and told that she always sees me in the school and she was surprised because she doesn't expect that I'm also an otaku fan like her.

First time on Baguio City

Yes, it was my first time in Baguio City ever. XD Went there with my family, grandfather and some of my cousins. I thought it's still hot there since I still felt the heat of the weather that day. During the trip, I listened to some songs of Girls' Generation and 4Minute, thanks to Dad for lending me the mp4. At the Kennon Road, I suddenly felt that my ears were congested. Dad told us that it was because of the change of air pressure.

BECK Live Action - 30s Trailer

Beck Live Action movie has finally released a 30-second teaser trailer of the movie. The live action film is based on the manga/anime version of BECK.


Hiro Mizushima (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Hana Kimi) plays the charismatic guitarist and band leader Ryusuke Minami, while Takeru Satoh (Princess Princess D, Kamen Rider Den-O, Rookies) plays the ordinary high school boy Koyuki. After a chance encounter between these two, Koyuki joins Minami's five-person rock band, Beck, on its rise to stardom.

Other Beck members are Kenta Kiritani (Crows Zero, Rookies) as the rapper Chiba, Aoi Nakamura (Shinigami no Ballad, Koizora) as the drummer Yuji Sakurai, and Osamu Mukai (Nodame Cantabile, Mei-chan no Shitsuji) as the bass guitarist Taira.

Pasinaya 2010 and 4Minute

Went to Pasinaya CCP Open House Festival 2010 to be exempted from a quiz in my HUM16 subject. Upon arriving there, I was clueless on where to go next. What I did is I just followed the other students. I was supposed to find my prof. there to sign the attendance sheet. Good thing was my prof was able to approach me first in the entrance before giving a donation to enter the festival. There were too many students from other schools, most of them looks like from elementary to highschool level. I don't know where to go next and I saw some of my classmates so I decided to follow them, we watched Senakulo 2010 performed by Samahang Nazareno.

OMG! The Package has arrived!

The package I've been waiting for has arrived yesterday morning, I didn't expect that it will arrived sooner and be delivered to my house since I bought it from an ebay seller. It's the Oh! Album by the Girls' Generation and included in the tube is a unfolded poster of Oh!

JRock: Shonen Knife + Pedicab Concert

After a week of ticket reservation, I received an email from Ms. Bambi Diaz, Program Officer of Arts & Culture of The Japan Foundation, Manila. It says in the email that the concert venue was moved to the San Miguel by the Bay from the centerstage in order to accommodate more people.

Below is the message from the email:

Good day!

 

We would like to inform you that we have moved the J-Rock Concert featuring Shonen Knife and Pedicab, to SM MOA San Miguel by the Bay (from Centerstage) to accommodate more people who would like to watch the show. There are no seats at the concert venue (it IS a rock concert ;) )so we will not be reserving any.
